Trevor Dwyer-Lynch is a talented actor, presenter, and compère. Born and raised in Moss Side and Salford, trained in Drama and Performing Arts at City College Manchester in 1990, Dwyer-Lynch has appeared in numerous television and theatre productions, merging both serious roles—such as "Gloucester" in Shakespeare's King Lear—to his best known comedic nice guy role in Coronation Street as Patrick Tussell the taxi-driver working for Steve McDonald (2002–2005). A dog lover, his 15-stone, Old English Mastiff also appeared with him in an episode, his dog spoiling "Patrick's" attempt to win over love interest Janice Battersby. Lynch achieved one of his wishes working for the legendary Ken Loach in "Looking for Eric", he publicly expresses a desire to work with Shane Meadows, Mike Leigh and Noel Clark to name a few of the great british Directors he admires.
A keen sportsman, Ex Part time professional footballer, boxing, golf and squash are amongst the sports he has been involved in. Dwyer-Lynch is also a professional qualified Uefa 'B' license football coach, having worked on both Manchester United and City's Community Football and Centre of Excellence Schemes.He merges acting and coaching together. When available, Dwyer-Lynch plays for a celebrity football team, consisting of actors and ex-professional footballers, raising money for various charities.[1] Some of the great grounds he has played at are Wembley stadium and Old Trafford. He had the privilege of having two of his heroes Desmond Tutu and Pele, manage him in a International celebrity match at Stoke Citys ground "Brazil v England" and Gordan Banks being the England boss. On meeting Pele, Dwyer-Lynch joked that although the greatest footballer in the world, Dwyer-Lynch had beaten him by playing at Wembley 3 times, Pele never played there in his career.
Known practical joker and comedy lover, Dwyer-Lynch established, alongside his big mate Key 103 DJ Justin Moorhouse("Kenny Junior" from Phoenix Nights and Key 103 D.J.) the first and only Smoke Free Comedy Zone in Manchester at The Circle Club some 18 months before the official smoke-free ban came into force and where many top stand up comedians appeared including his other good mate John Bishop.
Between acting jobs Trevor was a regular MC at the "Make the Lion Larff" comedy night at The White Lion,in Stockport. Despite being a passionate Manchester United fan, He is Currently the Manager of Manchester City Ladies Reserves FC who play in the Women's Premier League Division.
